Job Description:

As a Server and Network Technician at BioAro Inc., you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting our clinic's server and network infrastructure. Your role is crucial in ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of our systems, which directly supports our clinical operations and patient care services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain server hardware, software, and network components.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation of clinic systems.
  • Manage and support Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and other network services essential to clinic operations.
  • Perform regular maintenance, updates, and backups for servers and network equipment.
  • Respond to and resolve technical issues reported by clinic staff and healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure network security by implementing and maintaining firewalls, VPNs, and other security measures to protect sensitive patient data.
  • Document system configurations, procedures, and changes for future reference.
  • Assist with the planning and implementation of new IT projects to enhance clinical services.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to support technology initiatives across the clinic.

Qualifications:

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as a Server and Network Technician or in a similar role, preferably within a healthcare or medical environment.
  • Strong knowledge of server operating systems (Windows, Linux) and network protocols.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Familiarity with healthcare-related IT systems and compliance requirements is a plus.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Server+, CCNA, or similar are preferred.
