CardiAI Inc. is a Calgary-based Canadian company developing a Class 2 POC medical device, which integrates AI/ML-based software platform and mobile application. This device will facilitate real-time data collection, analysis, and secure uploading to a HIPAA and PIPEDA compliant HL-7 integrated portal. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement AI/ML algorithms for the medical device software platform and mobile application.
  • Perform data modeling, analysis, and engineering to support real-time data collection and processing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI/ML solutions with the medical device.
  • Conduct continuous performance monitoring and optimization of AI/ML models.
  • Develop and maintain documentation system.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (FDA, Health Canada, HIPAA, PIPEDA, HL-7).

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: PhD (or Master’s degree) in Computer Science, Data Science, AI/ML, or a related field from an accredited university.
  • Experience: Recent graduates or experienced candidates are welcome to apply.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java.
  • Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch).
  • Experience with data modeling, big data analysis, and cloud-based AI services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Knowledge of neural network architectures, including CNNs and RNNs.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards and best practices for AI/ML in medical devices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in developing AI/ML solutions for healthcare or medical devices.
  • Knowledge of HL-7 integration and compliance with HIPAA and PIPEDA.
  • Familiarity with continuous learning systems and explainable AI.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
